Kim has been serving the North Shore as a Professional Hairstylist for over 30 years. She regularly attends hair shows and has had the opportunity to be educated by some incredibly talented platform artists. Throughout this time she has made customer service and education her number one priority and is consistently seeking out specialized classes to learn the latest techniques available. She regularly attends local hair shows and has had the great fortune of being educated by Platform Artists from AG, AVEDA, JOICO, MATRIX, SCWARZKOPF and TONI & GUY. Kim fulfilled one of her big dreams in 2008 when she acquired her own studio and started assembling her dream team of stylists and estheticians that you know today. She learns more and more about the industry everyday. Julie is one of our Senior Stylist’s with over 40 years of experience.  Originally from the UK, where she started her career.  Julie loves to attend classes for advanced education, most recently she was in Italy learning the techniques of a new collection from Milkshake.  Julie enjoys providing clients with great customer service and professional recommendations for any of your hair goals.  Julie looks forward to meeting you

Jen has had a passion for hairdressing since early high school and took her first apprenticeship in grade 11 with Cindy & Co hair salon. After finishing school and working for 6 years she took a short break in 2010 to travel the world visiting Australia and South East Asia. Once back in Canada in 2012 she found a home at Techniks and has been with us ever since. While skilled in all aspects of hair styling, Jen loves to get the creative juices flowing with formal/updo styles.Talk to Jen today about a new look

Introducing Mackenzie, she trained at one of western Canada’s leading Hairdressing Academies.  Joined Techniks Hair Studio and Spa in January 2019.  Mackenzie brings a fashion forward energy to her  work and is committed to continuing her education.  When not creating your perfect look you will find her hiking the local mountains or enjoying the beaches in a variety of destinations, Costa Rica is her favourite!

Grace graduated from  the renowned John Casablancas Institute.  She takes pride in making people look and feel confident.  After all your hair is your crowning glory!  Grace, especially enjoys the variety in meeting people and the different styles that she can create. Outside of the salon she loves to hike with her dog and spend time with family.  

Grace looks forward to welcoming new clients and working with them to achieve their ideal hair goals.

Cassia has been working at Techniks since graduating from JCI hair school where she was awarded top student in her class. "I am fresh out of hair school and just graduated from John Casablancas in June. I was awarded top student in my class and super excited to start my career at Techniks. I love doing cuts and colours but my favourite part of being a hairdresser is seeing the joy and confidence clients get when they leave the salon. I also work as an eyelash tech and a gymnastics coach when I’m not at the salon. My long term goal is to eventually open my own salon!"
